This electric wine opener set would make an ideal gift for someone who enjoys a cheeky glass of wine. The trouble is my wife does (I’m teetotal on health grounds), so this set’s going nowhere! 😊 It is a little on the larger side, so when you’re holding it along with the wine bottle, things can get a bit tricky. But it certainly does a good job, almost too well, in fact, as the corkscrew does tend to want to drill right through the cork. The foil cutter is a good idea and works well. I’m not sure about the wine pourer; my wife and I have not seen a need for that, and see it more as a gimmick. The vacuum stopper is beneficial if it helps keep the wine fresh. But, how many people open a bottle of wine and leave it to go ‘off’? Using AA batteries is a bonus, as they can also be rechargeable, which is good for the environment. Overall, a very pleasing kit, that would have made a good kit for any regular wine drinker, including my wife, at a reasonable price of £30. Four stars.

As a family of wine drinkers, this was something I jumped at giving a try. This wine opener is simple and easy to charge, and it maintains its charge when disconnected from the charger, which is great, as I imagine a full charge will last sitting in a drawer. It takes AA batteries, which I'd imagine most homes have in abundance, which is also a plus point as there's no need to hunt down some of the more uncommon and expensive batteries. The opener comes with a foil cutter, which is obviously useful considering the abundance of bottles using corks and wrapping. In addition, there is a spout to allow for pouring, which is super fun and makes a weekend tipple feel a little more sophisticated! My only drawback would be that the opener is a little on the big size, but it's not much of an issue. It just means steadying the bottle whilst holding and using the opener can be a little bit cumbersome, but neither here nor there considering the ease of opening. The opener comes in a nice box, which is also great, not only for storing but potentially for those looking to gift something like this. It can absolutely be gifted as is, as the box is nice enough. All in all, it does the job, works well, is great value for money, and comes with additional bits and pieces that elevate the product as a whole.

This automatic wine opener set is a great party trick for removing the cork from a bottle effortlessly. It makes for both a great personal device or a giftable product and comes well presented in a neat informative box accordingly. Powered by a rechargeable battery, the device is easily recharged by a USB-C cable and you can open around 80 bottles on a single charge so it hopefully is an infrequent need! To operate you simply place the device over the top of the cork and press the buttons on the side of the device which set the wheels in motion to remove the cork seamlessly. It is quiet and efficient in achieving this, which saves time and sometimes the pressure of getting that cork out neatly with a manual equivalent in front of your dinner guests! The set also comes with a neat foil cutter for the protected bottle tops and a wine pourer to ensure a drip free follow on to serving. Lastly there is a vacuum stopper to preserve your wine when you're not finished with the bottle in one sitting. It's a reasonable price for an all in one set and a really nice product aboot so I can definitely recommend it.

This really looks the part and after hunting for a bottle that had a cork handed to my husband to open it. The foil cutter didnt cut the foil - it looked too big tbh but the wine bottle was standard size - it did even work when squeezed hard to try and get it to grip but alas it was not even close so we resorted to a knife. The corkscrew worked a treat - just remember to hold onto the bottle! You keep pressing the button until it the cork is out and then you press the other one for it to drop the cork back out. Very simple. The wine pourer and bottle stopper were fine. Deducted a star because of the cutter - hopefully it was just a one off.
